Your Destination: Jersey City

Jersey City is a city in Hudson County, New Jersey, United States. As of the United States 2000 Census, the population of Jersey City was 240,055, making it New Jersey's second-largest city, trailing Newark. It is the county seat of Hudson County.

Jersey City lies on the west bank of the Hudson River across from New York City, and is part of the New York metropolitan area. A commercial and industrial center, it is a port of entry and a manufacturing center. Do you know the Statue of Liberty's address? The nation's tallest immigrant calls Jersey City homeā€”and the ferry ride from Liberty State Park is the quickest and easiest way to visit her.

One distinguishing feature of Jersey city is its vast Indian population with its very own cultural center called the India square. India Square offers a heady variety of curries, dosas and dishes from the tandoor in our many Indian restaurants. When you're full, wander through the local shops for a great selection of Indian groceries, clothing, jewelry and the latest Bollywood hits.
